At The Vegan Eye, we believe that food is more than just fuel — it's medicine, it's memory, and it's love. Our mission is rooted in a personal journey of loss, discovery, and healing through the power of plant-based living.
In 2010, my life changed forever. My mother, Tonya Taylor Brooks, was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. The doctors recommended a vegan diet to help slow the disease. At the time, I didn’t fully understand the power of food as healing. There wasn’t much clear information, and I wasn’t as knowledgeable as I am today.
On February 22, 2011, I lost my mother. That moment became the driving force behind everything I do.
Why We Exist
From pain came purpose. I made it my mission to learn all I could about plant-based nutrition — not as a trend, but as a way to preserve and restore life. I began sharing what I learned with others, cooking for friends and family, and educating anyone willing to listen.
That journey became The Vegan Eye.
We don’t just make vegan food — we make plant-powered plates with purpose. Every dish we serve is a tribute to my mother’s legacy and a step toward a healthier, more informed community.
